Happy New Year Wizards! We say goodbye to the fun times we had in 2011, and hello to all the exciting new events in the Spiral that 2012 promises to bring! What new discoveries do you hope to make in your Wizarding this year?
The beginning of this month wraps up our Yuletide festival. Even though the holiday themed items are leaving the Spiral soon, you can enjoy the seasonal decorations and pets in your Castles all year long!

This is the January 2012 installment of my Book of the Month Club. These books have been suggested by a fellow Librarian from Earth, her name is Kit Ward-Crixell and she is a librarian in New Braunfels, Texas, USA.
Our chosen book this month is Mercy Watson to the Rescue byKate DiCamillo (illustrated by Chris Van Dusen). It is an easy book for younger kids to read, but still fun for older kids with its great illustrations of Mercy (the pig), her loving owners Mr. and Mrs. Watson, and the neighbors Baby and Eugenia Lincoln (Eugenia does *not* approve of pigs). It's the first one of many Mercy Watson adventures, and it will make you hungry for toast with butter!
Look for this book in your school or local library and enjoy reading, young Wizards!
